...Well thats not entirely true, but when we do decide to peel our numb assed, carpal tunneled selves away from our dungeon to "throw our hands in the skyyyy" its with Victory Night Life and company. Monday thru Sunday if there is an event hosted by Victory you'll be at a comfortable bar/club/venue whatever and the DJ's blow the speakers out the whole damn night. Since halloween is now a month long celebration; aka Party Gras, aka Skank-o-ween, aka What day is halloween actually on? Look for TK of the Wildboyz to be putting in some serious overtime.

Since San Diego is basically a huge melting pot of opposing fans, whether a Padres or Chargers game, you will always see an over whelming amount of the other teams jersey. Today was nothing new being that this is the one of the biggest rivalries in sports history. However, this has little to no effect on how we play.

Automatic Magazine's "Battle of the Shops!" ...and the Mystery of the Andrew Sprigle photo...

October 20th, 2007 at the Syndrome Warehouse in vista california, (DIRECTIONS) in there will be a battle of the shops held, as it is annually, to discover who has the most all around dangerous skateboarding team from each local shop.



The event is setup as a "King of the Hill" type Battle Royale where each category of the skateboarding skillset is assigned a skater to rep his shop in 3 heats of competition:

- HANDRAIL
- TRANNY
- TECHNICAL
- GAP
- PINCH HITTER

Our very own Andrew Sprigle will be skating for WILLY's WORKSHOP under the "Technical" category to flash his sharp and steezy skills with his plank of wood.

Note, this event is featured in the recent Automatic Magazine and we noticed, as a trend, that anytime Andrew is featured in a publication, his face is never seen...but switched for another picture...a mystery. We think it's funny! Do your research, it's true (minus Curiculum Mag Dot Com):

The End...now, the Beginning

Who doesn't remember "The End" - One of the more unique and influential skateboarding films of it's time, still holding its prestige until this day. "The End" which was directed by Jamie Mosberg and shot entirely in High-End 35mm film, made a significant impact on the way a skateboarding film, labeled by the industry a "High-end, action sports documentary," was watched. From Steve Berra's infamous "Chase" segway skits, which led to his demise by decapitation after his last line, or to the timeless style of Andrew Reynolds, in slow mo, poetically sound, nailing tough tricks with style and ease while the DJ Shadow "organ donor" soundtrack overlayed a perfect parallel to his part. Willy's flawless technicality and style - a staple of his Legend which will never die...to the anarchist Jeremy Klein and Heath Kirchart's collage of destruction utilized in their "danger" skating - destroying everything that stood in their way.

Rick, McCrank...Did you even remember Rick McCrank riding for birdhouse?...the food fight intro...perfect....The End...legendary...Now to the beginning.





On October 12 2007, Birdhouse Skateboards will proudly host the World Premiere of "The Beginning"
 in Los Angeles, California. The world premiere will be followed by 55 regional, national and international premieres.

It has been nearly 10 years since the release of "The End" and everyone on the team has been breaking themselves for this latest project. "The Beginning" will feature full-length parts from some of the newest, upcoming talents in skateboarding, as well as long-awaited parts from the veteran Birdhouse pro team. Tony Hawk, Matt Ball, Steve Nesser, Brian Sumner, Jeremy Klein, Willy Santos and Shaun White will be representing the pro team, while Justin Figueroa, Randy Ploesser, David Loy, Derek Burdette, Sean Eaton, Shaun Gregoire, Jean Postec, Riley Hawk, Nathan LaCoste, and Jon Dickson will be representing the am team in this video.
