Supra NS Spring line
The Supra NS Spring 2008 line-up is a pretty stellar collection. When this shoe brand first dropped, I sensed great things out of them and find myself impressed every time they release a new season line-up. They are adding a 3rd dimension to the skate shoe. The new brand presents a line-up of hi top sneakers in black and white (timeless) in high end materials and unfortunately, a high-end price tag (you won't pay less then 160$ for these). BUT - great shoes command a great price tag. I'll be rocking these, without a doubt. Check them out.

Our family at curiculummag.com have released their new site format. It's simplified, a little more interpersonal and dynamic with their fused blog, and user friendly navigation. Needless to say, I dig it and I'm proud to be associated with these cats. They work hard and passionately, and when you visit the site, both are obvious and apparent from the get go. Guilty Pleasure...
Ok, the movie "Knocked Up" may be a guilty pleasure; but anything with Jonah Hill is a guilty pleasure...at any rate, whether you saw it or not...this is one of the funniest outtakes I've ever seen. I don't know how they kept straight faces...haha, check it out:

A combination of Croc, and Gold accenting can illuminate any product with that combination...but on shoes...and to top it off, a limited colorway on old school's...chills and goosebumps are highly relevent. Unfortunately, due to the current state of the economy and it's current bout with the "R" word (recession...eeek), beauty comes with a hefty price tag. So listen kids, spend wisely...but, if you have the extra money sack under your bed (Google 1940's baron) - then these shoes are for you.

DS-10 - NINTENDO DS THAT SIMULATES THE KORG MS-10
A DS that simulates a Korg MS-10 (For you non-musicians cats out there, it is an analog synthesizer known for great bass and percussive sounds - a kosher beat machine / music composer).....Man...my bordem at the airport and road trips are over...you can compose some hot beats, maybe a movement, pop electrica?? Doesn't matter...and to top it off...flat black. There are a few passions in this world that are genuine...flat black is on that list...mmmmm OOWWW!

Trust me.,,
This group is one of the hottest on the planet (well in Europe) right now, but soon to be a trendy club fave...you heard it here first. Their video "Dance" is very innovative. Very simplistic, however, the after effects are unreal. This video literally graphically displays hundreds of upon hundreds of shirt designs as the lyrics progress in the song. It's pretty damn sick...plus the song makes you tap your feet...guilty pleasure...

Who doesn't love getting scared?
Ok, hands down, this is one of the best indie short horror flicks I had the proud pleasure to come across. Jon Knautz is a young director and I must say, dude kills it. The storyline has a very 'twilight zone' - esque feel to it. I'm definitively diggin this man's work and most definitely a fan after this short. Rod Serling would be clapping his hands at the credits with a smirk on his face. Take some time to peep it. The ending will have you going 'Holy Shi*t'....seriously...

The proverbial 'Perfect Ping Pong' table.
This is the Paul Smith Ping Pong Table, designed by Hunn Wai. This Table is a combination of a ping pong table and a workstation....brilliant.
It uses materials from a flea market i.e. a 2nd hand dining table, steel, lace, and acrylic paint, the designer assembled a versatile table. When closed, you may play table tennis, or just put down the lace net and use it as a work desk instead.
This thing wreaks of substance..Hopefully it's mass produced, I was looking for an answer to my aging Ikea desk!

This design for a drum sequencer interface by student Peter Bennett is nuts. I wish I had this guy as a bestfriend...we'd end up replicating a flux capacitor and going back to 83' so I can see my own childbirth.
It's simple too: each drum effect has a track on BeatBearing's plastic screen, and by dropping a ball bearing into a hole you activate that track's effect as a scanning light beam encounters it. When you watch a video of it in action, moving the bearings around in real time is like a kind of weird drum ballet:
BeatBearing currently only has 4 tracks, so highly complex sequences aren't really possible...but who cares! WOW dude!

Sex, Hood, Skate & Video Tape
For one I've always been a fan of skate video's/documentaries. I grew up filming them and have definitely filmed many in my day. It's kind of sad, I have hours upon hours of video tape that linger in my possession of some awesome footage. Ian Reid's is extremely raw and racey...and all he did was film his skateboarding adventures. The video is sick and well documneted. He didn't miss a moment. Good job my friend.
